Ruth Burnik BIO

Stone sculpture is an interactive process during which a sculpture develops through exploration of the stone using line and form. Removal of extraneous material layer by layer allows me to explore the stone and reveal rather than dictate the image, thus allowing it to develop naturally and to its full potential.

Whether the sculptural theme is a concept, an individual, or a relationship, Ruth’s work is committed to capturing grace and beauty in the sculpture through sensitive design and meticulous finish work.

Her work is approachable and serene in design, and of the highest quality craftsmanship. She uses different types of stone based on the appeal of color and texture and appropriateness for the particular piece.

Collected internationally, Gallery exhibitions and show participation nationally & internationally.
